Fight for Love climbs quickly into Tencent’s heat index on premiere day
Update: The historical romance drama has now exceeded 25,000 on Tencent’s heat index (see it’s celebratory visual down below), and I’m seven episodes in and loving every second.
No, I haven’t begun watching the latest Victoria Song and Ding Yu Xi vehicle — Fight for Love — but my few views have, apparently, not stopped the Chinese historical romance drama from already exceeding 21,000 on Tencent Video’s heat index. (Well that, and I’m not based in China either!)
The Chinese drama hit that good-start 21,000 with just its first five episodes out as well — four episodes for VIP subscribers, and Episode 5 for those willing to pay for the platform’s Express package. (That will never be me. How about you?)
Fight for Love exceeding 21,000 on the heat index was heralded by Tencent along with the release of two pretty posters.
The first, dropped as the Cdrama hit 20,000 on the index (see below), features the main leads fighting each other, while the second, which was released for its 21,000 milestone (above), has Victoria Song holding a letter she has just received.

Fight for Love premiere details
Along with Victoria Song (aka Song Qian) and Ding Yu Xi in the main roles, Fight for Love also has a stellar supporting cast.
That cast includes Fu Xin Bo (Xian Qing in Sword and Fairy), Joe Chen (Ji Shu Ran in The Double), Liang Xue Feng (Chen Ye in Moonlight Mystique), and Cao Jun (Zi Kong in The Demon Hunter’s Romance).
Fight for Love is co-directed by Zhou Jing Tao (Love of Nirvana) and Qi Xiao Hui (Really Meet Love That Day), with screenwriting by Wang Hong (Sword and Fairy).
The Chinese drama premiered its first five episodes on October 30th on Tencent Video in China, and on WeTV internationally, and is scheduled for a 40-episode run, so it is one of the longer ones.

Check out the Cdrama’s official trailer, which makes this thing look epic, and start watching Fight for Love on WeTV internationally now.
I’ll also be getting to its first couple of episodes tonight when I finally have time to take a TV break.
