Legend of Zang Hai one of Top 3 TV series in first half of 2025 – viewed more than 2 billion times and counting

In no surprise to anyone who has watched it, YOUKU has just announced the historical adventure drama Legend of Zang Hai was in the Top 3 TV series for the first half of 2025.
It was viewed more than 2 billion times (2.003 billion views) on the entire network, easily ranking among the three TV series in the first half of the year, with each episode earning an average of 50 million views.
The Chinese drama is still earning around 10 million views a day more than a month after its last episode aired.
Along with the announcement, the Chinese streaming service released visuals of the C-drama’s four main leads with the comment:

The Legend of Zang Hai stars Xiao Zhan (The Untamed), Zhang Jing Yi (Blossoms in Adversity), Zhou Gi (White Cat Legend), and Huang Jue (Into the Heat).
It streamed on YOUKU from May 18th, 2025 to June 3rd, 2025.
You also know it must be a pretty decent Chinese drama, as the often-disgruntled people who use My Drama List are currently rating it an 8.6 out of 10.
Considering anything above about an 8.2 on that site is a very positive outcome for a drama, it bodes well for anyone who hasn’t yet watched Legend of Zang Hai and wants to know if it’s a worthwhile watch. (It is, by the way).
