The new SBS drama The Escape of the Seven, Episode 1 premiered in South Korea last night to high ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 1 of the new revenge K-drama earned 6.00 percent of the audience share nationwide, placing it in sixth place on network TV for the day.
In Seoul, the SBS drama grabbed a slightly lower 5.40 percent rating, but still a very solid rating for a first episode and one that meant it earned seventh place on Korean TV.
What is the plot of The Escape of the Seven?
The new SBS revenge drama The Escape of the Seven (7인의 탈출 in Korean) stars Um Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Lee Yu Bi, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, Jo Yoon Hee, and Jo Jae Yoon.

The 17-episode drama is airing on SBS every Friday and Saturday evening at 22:00 (KST), with both Viki and Kocowa streaming the series outside South Korea.
