About Love character posters have cast surrounded by cicadas’ wings
Character posters have dropped for Liu Yu Ning’s new romance drama About Love, which got its premiere date — February 26th — this week.
And yep, I was excited for this one before the latest rash of promo pieces started to drop and now, after seeing the gorgeous cinematography of the trailer, and snippets of the performances of what is a phenomenal ensemble cast, I’m even more ecstatic for this one to air.
Add in the character posters that, yet again, remind us just what a stellar cast of talented actors playing some truly unique and wild characters we are getting, and About Love may just end up being one of the exceptional Chinese romance dramas of 2026.
The About Love character posters dropped this week, and show the cast surrounded by cicadas’ wings. That’s because the original title of the C-drama in Chinese was Love Like a Cicada’s Wing.
The new posters came with a comment about the nature of love and, thus, its plot:
Protected by love, yet also bound; desire can ensnare, and can tear. What once confined us will eventually become another form of embrace, gently lifting us up, helping us break free from our cocoons and reach for the light!
